The 40-point stroll against Dolphins on Sunday was followed by a one-point scramble on Monday. Munali Suns beat Harare Kings 70–69 at the NASDEC Sports Complex on Monday 2 November to go four from four in Group E of the Road to BAL 2027 qualifiers, News Diggers reported, but only after a fourth-quarter comeback by the Zimbabwean side had turned a comfortable evening into a nervous one.

Munali led for most of the game. The visitors, who had lost 72–77 to Dolphins and 71–98 to Beira earlier in the week and had only a 66–47 win over Soweto Panthers to show for their trip, found their shooting late. Ofure Ujagudhele's three-pointer was one of the scores that brought them within reach, and News Diggers' report names Elijah Mukelebai and Douglas Kandulu among the Munali players who had to answer. The hosts held on by the single point.

The table

The result leaves Munali alone at the top of the group on four wins from four, with 332 points scored and 276 conceded, a difference of plus 56, according to the standings published by The BAL Report. Ferroviário da Beira, whom Munali beat 87–85 on Saturday, are second at three and one with the group's best points difference, plus 83, after their 110–81 win over Bravehearts on Monday. Dolphins are also three and one despite a difference of minus 24, after beating Soweto Panthers 63–56. Harare Kings and Bravehearts have one win each; Soweto Panthers have none.

Munali Suns in Group E

  • 30 October — beat Bravehearts 79–66
  • 31 October — beat Ferroviário da Beira 87–85
  • 1 November — beat Dolphins 96–56
  • 2 November — beat Harare Kings 70–69

The qualifying page of The BAL Report says only that the clubs that qualify from the group go on to the Basketball Africa League in 2027 and does not state how many advance from Group E or on what tie-break. What is certain is that the Lusaka club has won all four of its games in the group so far, and that its last fixture, against Soweto Panthers, will decide whether it finishes unbeaten.
